T.J. Cinnamon Rolls


T. J. Cinnamon Rolls

Dough:
2 packages yeast
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/2 cup warm water
Dissolve yeast in water and sugar and let stand for 5 minutes.

4-5 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup milk, scalded and cooled to 110 degrees
1/3 cup oil
2 eggs at room temperature

Combine 3 cups flour, 1/3 cup sugar, and salt.
At low speed, beat in milk, oil, eggs, and yeast mixture until well blended.
Beat in additional flour until dough pulls from sides of bowl.
Knead 8-10 minutes.
Put in greased bowl and turn to grease top.
Cover and let rise one hour.
Make filling.

Filling:
1/2 cup soft butter
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
2 tablespoons cinnamon.
Grease round cake pans.
Make dough in large rectangle and spread with filling.
Roll up and cut into rolls.
Put in cake pans.
Cover and rise 30-40 minutes.

Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes.
Cool and invert twice.
Top with icing.

Icing:
1 cup powdered sugar
2-3 tablespoons warm milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Note:
Can be frozen for 1 month. I copied this from a magazine a few years ago. It's suppose to be the real T.J.Cinnamon roll recipe. I've made them a few times. They're very rich and sweet.
