Ham Asparagus Fingers

Ham Asparagus Fingers


1 can Pillsbury Bread Sticks
1 can asparagus spears
3 thin slices ham, cut into strips
3 slices hot pepper cheese, cut into thin strips
1 teaspoon onion salt
3 tablespoons parmesan cheese, grated
Butter flavor non-stick cooking spray

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Spray a cookie sheet with non-stick cooking spray.
Flatten each breadstick with rolling pin to an approximate width of 1 1/2 inches by 6 inches. Line breadstick with cheese.

Top with 2 well drained asparagus spears. Then continue layering with ham strips.

Top with another flattened breadstick. Pinch edges closed.
Spray tops with butter flavored non-stick spray.
Sprinkle tops with onion salt and Parmesan cheese.

Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes, until golden brown.
Makes 6.


Note: You could use fresh asparagus that has been steamed and drained well. Also, try garlic salt instead of onion salt, or try both. Also, cheddar cheese is good also if you don’t care for hot pepper cheese. That’s just my preference, and it’s my made-up recipe!!
