1 1/2 sticks margarine, melted
1/4 cup sugar
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 package dry yeast
2 cups warm water
4 cups self-rising flour
Cool melted margarine. Add yeast to the warm water.
Mix sugar, flour and add melted butter, yeast, and beaten egg.
Stir until blended (dough will be soft and sticky).
Place in airtight container; cover and store in refrigerator several hours before using.
To make rolls, spoon into greased muffin tins and bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.
This recipe will yield 3 dozen large rolls or 6 dozen small rolls.
Note: Rolls made in the little miniature muffin tins are really good, but remember, they don't have to cook as long.
