1 1/2 cups flour
1 tablespoon cocoa
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon soda
1 tablespoon vinegar
1 teaspoon vanilla
5 tablespoons oil
1 cup warm water
Use 1 small square pan, the pan you are going to bake the cake in.
Pour into this un-greased pan the flour, cocoa, sugar and soda.
Make a dent in one corner and add vinegar.
Make a dent in the opposite corner and add 1 teaspoon vanilla.
Draw a line through the middle of ingredients and add oil.
Over all, pour warm water.
Mix all together with a fork and bake in a 350 degree oven for about 30 minutes.
Leave in pan and frost with favorite frosting or dust with powdered sugar.
This is a fun cake for kids to help make. It’s fun poking holes and pouring ingredients in. As a matter of fact, I think this is the first cake I ever made by myself as a child (boy, that was sure a long time ago!).
