Billy’s Baked Beans Recipe
1 can ranch style beans
1 can pork and beans, drained
1/4 pound ground beef, fried and drained
1/4 cup sugar
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon prepared mustard
1 tablespoon liquid smoke
1/4-1/2 cup ketchup
Brown ground beef and drain.
Add both cans of beans, sugar and condiments.
Warm in saucepan or bake in 350 degree oven until heated through.
Carla gave this to me. I sometimes use a can of chili hot beans instead of ranch beans since we can’t always get ranch beans in Grayson. Also, I’ve used white sugar and brown sugar for the sugar before. Either one does fine.
You can make these up ahead of time and refrigerate. Place them in a greased 1 1/2-2 quart casserole and bake at 350 degrees for about 30-45 minutes.
Since this recipe takes such a little bit of ground beef, just save back some extra and freeze whenever you fry some hamburger up for another recipe. That way it will be ready when you need it for this one.
